What is the Arizona Game Fair?
The Arizona Game Fair is a tabletop gaming convention held at the first of the year. This is our second year. With over 12,000 square feet of tabletop gaming, the Fair also provides vendors, scheduled gaming, game industry guests, tournaments. A large library of board and card games will be available to check out.
What games will there be?
Our goal is to provide a place where people can feel comfortable playing the tabletop games that most make them happy. Our open gaming area is available just for this. You can use the tables to play board games, card games, dexterity games, miniatures, RPGs and such. We will also provide a variety of scheduled gaming for you to sign up and try. Our library of games will be mostly be board games of various kinds. The list can be found here.
When is the Fair?
The Arizona Game Fair 2018 will be held February 9, 10, 11.
Where is it?
The Fair will be held at the Mesa Convention Center. The address is 263 N Center St, Mesa, AZ 85201. The convention center has several buildings. Each building has a letter on the side. This year we will be ocuppying the A and B buildings.
Is the parking free?
Yes. There is free parking at the Mesa Convention Center. Parking is first come, first serve. Parking maps will be provided as we get closer to the event.
How do I attend?
There are several ways to attend. Badges are available for purchase for the full event. We also have day badges for those who can’t attend all 3 days. Badges are also available for volunteers, panelists and people running games.
How much does it cost?
Earlybird pricing is available until Jan 1.
Full Event Badge: $40
Day Badge: $20
Sidekick Badge (Age 12 and under): $5
Library Pateron Badge: $75
Where can I buy badges?
Can I buy badges at the event?
Yes. You can purchase them at the registration desk in the B building. Badge prices will be increased as we get closer to the event. Cash and cards will be accepted.
What are the hours of the event?
Friday 8am – 11pm
Saturday 8am – 11pm
Sunday 8am – 5pm
We ask that all games be concluded 15 minutes before closing.
Will there be late night gaming?
Yes. We have arraigned for late night gaming on Friday and Saturday evening at the Oak Room Bar and Kitchen located just behind the Mesa Convention Center. Details to come and will be posted on the EVENTS page.
Can I volunteer?
Yes. We are always in need of volunteers to help run the Fair. We need people to help with registration, library checkout, information booths and other areas. An application is available on this site.
Can I bring my own games?
Yes. Our open gaming area is the perfect place to bring your own games to play. You can also coordinate your games on this geeklist on Boardgamegeek.com.
How do I use the game library?
The game library is located in the A building. Games can be checked out during the Fair by filling out a checkout form and providing an ID.
Will there be vendors?
Yes. There will be vendors and exhibitors. The main vendor hall will be located in the B building across from the theater. There will also be some vendors in the open gaming area. A full list of vendors will be published on this site as we get closer to Feb.

How do I submit games for the scheduled gaming?
Use this form if you would like to teach a board game or run an RPG at the Fair. The deadline to submit is Jan 1. Game masters will be notified soon after with their time and table assignments.
Can I run a tournament or special event?
Yes. Contact us so that we can coordinate with you on the space and promotion.
Will there be a gamers garage sale or flea market?
Yes. The flea market will be held Saturday from 9am to 11am in the open gaming area in Building A. Tables for the market can be purchased for $10 when you buy your badges. Tables are limited and will be sold first come, first served.
